Downtown Delaware is the place to be on April 4 for Main Street Delaware’s First Friday celebration of community wellness, physical wellness, mental wellness, economic wellness, environmental wellness, and more!
The 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. event will include the first road closure of the year and feature a recreation zone with gaga ball, basketball, and more. The evening also will include a stage with wellness education and entertainment sure to delight First Friday-goers of all ages.
“We are excited to be partnering with several businesses and organizations for our April First Friday,” said Caroline Pusateri, Main Street Delaware’s program director. “We’ll have Preservation Parks, the City of Delaware Economic Development Department, the Delaware Public Health District, the American Lung Association, Rise Fitness, and more to engage our community in wellness of all types!”
Along with longer days, the Delaware County Transit’s extended FLEX hours return this month to serve the community until 10 p.m.! Schedule a ride to First Friday from any location within the City of Delaware. The fare is $2 each way, and only $1 for riders 65 and older as well as 18 and younger.
